While you can achieve crowned edges through various methods like a router table, spindle shaper, scraping/filing, spokeshave, or a crowning plane, the hand plane approach with a crowned sole stands out. This method requires noadditional sanding and eliminates the need for a dust mask or hearing protection. It's our preferred way to utilize the Crown Iron, as iteffortlessly brings elegance and precision to your craftsmanship.
Iron Honing
Included with each Crowning Kit is a specialized hone, meticulously machined from CNCaluminum alloy to create a precise arc.The hone's surface is hardened,sandblasted, and anodized,resulting in a stunning finish.
By applying a small amount of Diamond Paste to the hone, you can rejuvenate your irons, bringing them to a level of performance that surpasses their original state. Experience the satisfaction of working with irons that are sharper and more efficient than ever before.
