CS-12v2 / CS-6v2
12" / 6" Combination Squares
A Radical Redesign of the
Iconic Combination Square
A good combination square functions as a square, miter square, depth gage, and a marking gage making it an indispensable reference in workshops the world around.
Now, we introduce the CS-12v2 & CS-6v2 Combination Squares -- the radical redesign of the iconic combination square originally invented byLaroy S. Starrett in 1877.
CS-12v2 & CS-6v2 Combination Squares are sure to inspire your best work—and those of your heirs—for generations to come.
Two sculpted legs separated by a black web, this is one gorgeous tool that you will never want to loan to your pesky, cheap neighbor.
Try Square
Each square is individually calibrated to be within 0.002" (0.05mm) of 90 degrees measured at the end of a fully extended 12” (300mm) or 6" (150mm) blade.
Miter Square
This combination square features a 45 degree leg which can transfer the angle precisely.
Depth Gauge
This can be used to determine the depth of mortises, dados, rabbets, holes and other assorted recesses.
Marking Gauge
The marking gauge can layout the lines quickly and precisely.
Lengthened Legs
We lengthened the legs of the CS-12v2 and CS-6v2 from their traditional design roots to maximum 4-3/4” (120.6mm) and 2-11/16" (68.7mm). The 45 degree leg is significantly longer to improve registration with your stock. This precision milled square head is equally at home with the 12" and 6" blade.
Same Scale on the
Same Edge at Any Time
The 12" and 6” Imperial blades feature left-to-right and right-to-left reading 32nds and 16ths.
(The 300mm and 150mm Metric blades feature left-to-right and right-to-left reading 1 mm with extra 0.5mm resolution at the end.)
You can flip the square over and view the same scale on the same edge. These blades have the industry standard layout with similar scales on opposite edges. This is an incredible improvement and will create fewer mistakes.
Laser- etched Graduations
All graduations are laser- etched—they are easy to read and you should have no difficulties with clarity.
Material
The CS-12v2 & CS-6v2Combination Squares are milled from stainless steel plate stock which has great rust and wear resistance, and all the surfaces of the main body and legs are complete PVD coated presenting you with the unmatched scratch resistance and incrediblehardness.
