How important is work holding?
It is the most important aspect for repeatable results. Because the saw is cutting from the bottom up, you are fighting negative feed—this is the tendency of the board to move upward resisting the cut. This upward tendency needs to be completely eliminated with proper work holding. It is particularly critical when the blade is tilted. If the stock move upward while the blade is tilted, you will almost always jam your stock on the blade, which is not good.

The capabilities of the Precision Fence System really grow with the available accessories, the most important of which is the Tenon Miter Jig.The Tenon Miter Jig mounts to the Jointmaker Pro Precision Fence, allowing you to cut tenon cheeks and miters quickly and accurately. Since it mounts to the Precision Fence, you get the benefit of the fence's micro-adjustment feature to fine-tune your settings.
The main fence of the jig tilts 0° (horizontal) to 90° (vertical), meaning you can cut many miters, at any angle, without tilting the blade.
You can even cut compound bevels by tilting both the fence and the stock. The included friction-lock C-clamp holds stock up to 50mm (2'') square firmly against the fence, ensuringaccuracy.
